   Wow! Interesting and thought provoking. It came from an unexpected source but sometimes it’s not the messenger that matters the most, but the message. He is so right though – how well do we know Jesus? Is he our personal Saviour, the one we go to first with our problems, our happy moments, our deep thoughts?
   But I do need to ask – we know God as a patient God. What happens to the two people who did not know Jesus personally? They were good people and obeyed Him in all ways. Does it mean they have no chance to get in heaven? And will God reveal something without explaining the consequences to us?

     I have some ideas, but I have to think about it a bit more. I will respond to that a bit later, in detail.

     What bothers me a bit is the messenger – even if he is right. Ik looks like he was coached. We must not forget that he tried to position himself as a possible ‘heir’ to Trump. He has the money for it.

   Your website opens with Gal 6:9, “Let us not become weary of doing good….” Yes, we have to have a relationship with Christ, which will be evident to others from our deeds. That is why the author of Galatians continue by stating that we will receive our reward at the proper time, which means a close relationship with Jesus. I believe that Elon Musk’s relationship with Christ should be evident from his actions, actions are louder than words

     In this speech Jesus goes further than all the prophets before Him by telling us exactly on what basis we all will be judged one day. Summarized in one sentence, it is simply whether we did or did not have compassion for our fellow man in need. It is not only material needs such as food and clothes that could be referred to here. Maybe someone is looking for spiritual assistance. (Matthew 28:18-20). Then we could talk with him or her about the Living Water (John 4:10) or the Bread of Life (John 6:35). Whatever a person’s problem may be our wish is always that someone meets Jesus in us. We can accomplish this by determining the exact need and than to provide in that need if one has the means and the ability to do so. If we cannot help, we should consider praying for that particular need.

     By loving our neighbour we are doing the work of God. (Matt. 22:39). We must never forget this. It must be possible to measure our faith in Him by the (positive) effect it has on the people around us, such as family, friends, our church and even our city and country. Some people and churches are inclined to shift the emphasis on other issues: How you dress or how you wear your hair, to which church you go, what you may or may not eat, whether a woman may lead a church, whether you are white or black, whether you may work on a Sunday or even whether you should go to church on a Sunday or a Saturday. There is more that I could mention, such as those issues related to the certain rites and sacraments in the various Christian denominations. However, to Jesus, all these things do not seem to be very important on the day the world ends. (vs 35-36).

     The big difference between Christianity and any other religion is that Jesus has already won; the price has already been paid. We don’t have to try and ‘earn’ something. Rather the sacrifice that He brought for us, namely Himself, and the examples that He set, inspire us, His disciples, to do the work of God. It seems to me that all our love for people originates from our love for Him.

     It is interesting to note that Jesus does not mention that faith as such (in Himself) is a prerequisite to righteousness. It must be true then: Faith without works is dead (James 2:14). You should be able to show or prove your faith from your works (James 2:17,18). Somebody asked me once what I thought of a medical doctor who (says he) does not believe in God but goes to a developing country and spends a few years there to help the people for free. My answer to this was: “I admire the medical doctor, but I would doubt very much whether this person really does not believe in God. To show that kind of commitment to the plight of the poor proves to me that he does have faith. Maybe he says that he does not believe in God because he is still searching. (Most people, who have not yet found God, are usually searching for the truth, because when you meet with them they always seem to bring the subject up). Jesus says: ‘Seek and you will find.’ So, I am convinced that he will find God, even if that meeting with Him will still be in the future.”

   I also think the interview was carefully set up. More about that later. Just to come back to your first question:

   “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.’ Matt. 10:32

   It seems important that at some stage you make a public statement of your faith in front of a public gathering, such for example in church during a baptismal service. That will scare the devil away, forever.

   So, the people who Elon Musk seemed to have identified as ‘losers’: nobody but God Himself will know.

   True, Jesus was very confrontational with the religious people of His time; they had made religion into a thriving business. That still happens. And there is still dishonesty in the distribution of income of many churches. We should expose that, if it comes in or on our way. Churches who demand ‘tithes’ from their members are probably on the wrong way. We should use all our resources for what Jesus wants, see my comment to Annette.

   That brings me back to Elon Musk. Clearly, he is not somebody like Mother Theresa,….He does not seem too concerned about doing something about the poverty in the world. In one of his previous video’s, he does mention that he thinks that ‘God’ called him to be ‘a leader’, like one of the Kings of Israel. I am not sure what to think of it all. Maybe this is it (I wrote this in 1995)

   The (last) anti-christ will be appointed as the leader of the earth, most likely coming from the merging corporate world, doing great signs and miracles, possibly establishing a new or united religion with a (false) prophet and misleading many people in a similar way as Hitler did but this time it will be on a world-wide scale. He or she will be able to control all people with some kind of direct communication system (Rev.13:15) so that the “spirit” of the anti-christ will always be with them.

   Elon Musk has ‘X’ and if eventually he will also embrace Islam, we will know for sure who he really is.

     On another note:

     I am disturbed that he mentions people simply going to church ‘for an emotional experience’. What is wrong with that? I go to church for an emotional experience. I remember King David dancing for joy when the Ark of the Covenant was brought back (from what is now Gaza…). When you sing in worship and when you suddenly realize that what you are saying is completely true, you may experience goosebumps down your spine and tears streaming down your face. When that happens, you experience the Holy Spirit and those tears you feel coming down are not tears of sadness. It is pure joy. At that point, many people can experience being able to speak in ‘strange tongues’. So I am not sure whether Elon Musk even knows the Holy Spirit.
