Who really profits from the war in Oekraine?

Ja. Ja. War is for profit. Blessed are the peacemakers, is what Jesus said. Why did we forget about that?  Few people realize what the war in the Ukraine really means for big business. It only takes a few minutes to understand….

Foot Note (by Henry Pool):

The video is very short and does not make it very clear that there had been earlier meetings between NATO and Russia, where things might have turned out differently if there had been more concessions from the Western side when the iron curtain fell. I also believe that the people of Crimea have clearly indicated in an election that they do want to be part of Russia. But there are some things about Putin in the past that strike me. I don’t think there was any proposal for warfare by him and by Russia up until 3 years ago (I used to watch a lot of RT at the time before the war).

In the meantime, Putin has proven during his reign that he is a ruthless villain who kills all his opponents and gets away with it. As befits a villain, his personal wealth has also increased enormously in the last few years, and I don’t think that that can come from his salary alone.

Unfortunately, the arms industry is still the largest industry in the world. There was a soapy on television a lot of years ago that was called “Rich man, poor man”. You may remember it. At one point, all those bosses of the industry sat around a table to discuss where they could start another war. Well, I think you can guess what I’m thinking right now. War is for profit…. from both sides.

I blame the politicians of the western world, and Rutte in particular, for not making any attempt to act as intermediaries to try to make peace. A trio of leaders from Africa have tried to do something but have not received any help from the West. That was a pity. Just like Vietnam, Ukraine has now become the play ball between the west and the east and I can only cry for the people who have to live in that ball.

A word of warning: Who will eventually pay for that war? Look carefully what happened to the inflation rate in the USA before, during and after the war in Vietnam. Inflation is caused by those responsible for printing money (government) and it is simply an extra tax to pay for the debt that your government is making:

Don’t call me a climate-change denier!

Take 5 minutes of your time to learn something about climate change that the media won’t tell you (anymore).  Watch this video by Patrick Moore, one of the original founders of the Green Peace movement, now retired. Don’t call him a climate change denier…..

R200000!!!!

R200000!!!!

We did it!!! Altogether we collected R200000 for the solar/gas project for the Rehoboth Children’s Village in Murchison near Port Shepstone. On behalf of the children of the village, I would like to thank everyone who helped us to realize this fantastic goal. 100000x thanks to Hart voor Kinderen in the Netherlands who kept their promise to match our fund-raising effort here in South Africa Rand for Rand. Then, a special word of thanks to all of you who made sizeable contributions for this project: Hatfield Christian Church, Savannah Chemicals and John B. We also want to thank Christine, Alida, Deon, Hanli, Thiru, Hazel, George, Karin, Annetjie, Ingrid and Yvonne for making extra contributions for this project. May God bless you richly for your superb generosity.

The next step would be for Heart for Children (Henry & Annette) to consult with the founders of the Rehoboth’s Children Village, namely Alfonse and Yvonne van Galen, to determine how best to utilize the funds that we have now available for them. They are such lovely people. The goal would be for Rehoboth to become as near as possible to total independence from Eskom power. Priority should perhaps be given to putting all the children’s homes on gas cooking. Then, for the remainder, we are looking at various solar applications. I heard that it might be cheaper to build a field with solar panels for the whole village rather than to put up solar at each of the individual homes – this would be something worth investigating. Perhaps there are some consulting engineers amongst us who are willing to help by giving a free consultation to see exactly what they have in place already and what best can be done with the available funds? Or perhaps you know a friend whom you could ask to help us out here? Please let us know, and then, God willing, we can decide to visit the village at some time soon.

Whatever happens, obviously we will keep all of you informed and make some pictures for you to show the progress being made! Wishing you God’s richest blessings,

Henry and Annette Pool

Reminder: End of tax year is on 29/02/2024

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! | Heart for Children

We are still waiting a bit to see if we can reach the R100000 mark for the Rehoboth Children’s Village which would then be doubled by Hart voor Kinderen in the Netherlands. We are hoping and praying that we do reach that target! So far, things do look promising.

We just want to remind you that the current tax year ends 29/02/2024, so if you still wanted to donate something for this project, it would be advisable to do so before 29/02/2024. Then, due to new regulations by SARS, to prepare the relevant tax certificate for you, we would now need your full name and address (as known by SARS) as well as your ID number. Can you please sms or e-mail this to us? Many thanks.

Blessings,

Henry and Annette Pool
